1. How would you describe your business and/or products?

Marchaland Farms is a family run cow calf to finish operation. We focus on producing high quality healthy beef.

2. Why do you choose Washington County for your farm?

Our farm is located in Washington County because it has been here for three generations. I would assume that Washington County was the initial choice due to its vast agricultural opportunities.

3. What has surprised you most OR challenged you most as a farmer?

One of the most challenging aspects of being a farmer has been having to market your own products to achieve profitable prices to be sustainable.

4. Why should someone buy your products?

We believe that customers should purchase our beef as it is a high quality product that is safe, raised without the use of antibiotics or growth hormones. Our product is suited best for customers who like to know where and how their food was raised.

5. Is there are a particular moment, memory or achievement in your farm or business that stands out for you?

Anytime we get to see our customers that love to enjoy our healthy, wholesome products.

6. What advice would you give to a new up and coming farmer?

Advice for a new up and coming farmer would be to keep their debt low and costs down.
