As farmers and food producers we know you wear many hats and have a variety of tasks to accomplish on a daily basis. From communication strategies to technical assistance with technology, attendees will be armed with the resources and know-how to be more successful with the time and resources they dedicate to marketing and ultimately, sell more product. Each session will involve a one-hour presentation, followed by a one- hour panel discussion with fellow producers who will share their personal tricks and triumphs.
Each of the scheduled workshops will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The workshops will be led by CCE’s two new agriculture marketing specialists: Jessica Ziehm and Rebecca Breese. Pre-registration is not required but highly encouraged.
July 9 - How to Give a Great Farm Tour: gain resources and templates you need to ensure you are prepared for a successful event on your farm.
July 25 - How to Use Analytics, Ads, & Algorithms - learn how to understand your social media insights to improve your return on your marketing spend
August 8 - How to Tell Your Story: gain the confidence to speak openly about your livelihood and how to handle sensitive subjects as well as difficult conversations with the public.
September 17 - How to Reach Online Shoppers: make sure your website and online store are encouraging shoppers to spend their holiday budget with your business.
October 8 - How to be Retail Ready: from licenses needed, certifications available and labeling requirements, this session will go through all that is needed to be successful and ready for retail.
Pick one session or attend them all! They are free and available to anyone in the county or region. More details will become available as dates get closer.
